If there’s any topic that can keep me at a party an extra 2 hours, it is the power of science communications.
In the last 3 years alone, I’d bet we all have a personal story or two of how fast shaky science has been shared. I certainly do.
That is why I am so proud that my colleagues and I have just published a walk-through of lessons that we learned in developing a science-based educational tool. Our collaborators, a fantastic group of global experts and practitioners in One Health, all took part in building the Living Safely with Bats picture book for communities that live closely alongside bats. Our paper, published in Global Health: Science and Practice, covers our journey from the early days of artwork development to how we refined the picture book’s imagery and content based upon feedback we received from experts and community members.
I hope you’ll take a look!
